Job Description

JOB SUMMARYWe are a leading wholesaler and global exporter of wood products company and looking for a full--time Operations Coordinator to join our team. We serve customers in North America, Asia to match special needs of industrial and commercial applications. We are looking for a motivated, honest and hardworking individual who can bring value to our team. Competitive salary and growth potential available to the right candidate. You will analyze freight logistics, implement shipping solutions, along with general office tasks.DUTIES&RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Analyze freight rates, calculate cost of goods, and research shipping method
  • Check cargo availability with vendors as per POs delivery date
  • Determine and recommend efficient and cost-effective logistics solutions
  • Coordinate with suppliers, freight forwarders via e-mail and phone calls
  • Arrange for shipping documentation and assist forwarders on export declaration
  • Prepare relevant documents, including reviewing and approval on documentation provided by suppliers and for accuracy
  • Maintain relevant files and databases using MS Office
  • Track goods in transit and trace shipments to the destination
  • Answer phone calls, emails, and provide general administrative support
  • Sensitivity to confidential matters is required
  • Willingness to take on additional duties and responsibilities as needed
  • Promote positive relations with forwarders and suppliers at all levels
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Basic sense in logistics for freight forwarding field/commercial industry
  • Sound knowledge of import/export/customs procedures and documentation
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skillsin English
  • Must be highly motivated, well organized and detail oriented
  • Must demonstrate the ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks
  • Time management, priority setting
  • Demonstrated problem-solving capabilities
  • Chinese, Vietnam speaking preferred
EDUCATION
  • College or equivalent education (Preferred Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent from an accredited institution)
  • Logistics/ Supply Chain/ International Trade experience preferred
