At Oak Valley Health, we are honoured to care.Oak Valley Health, Markham Stouffville Hospital (MSH), features newly renovated facilities including a new cancer clinic, breast health center, diagnostic imaging center, and medical/surgical units. There is a group of highly motivated and skilled professionals. We are also a training site for UofT trainees. In addition, we have an active expanding research program that supports open phase 3 clinical trials.The Department of Paediatrics is looking for a Paediatric Respirologist to join our team within our Pediatric Respiratory Medicine Clinic approximately 1 days per week. The successful applicant will work in the ambulatory clinic to assess and provide long-term management for pediatric patients, from 0 - 18 years of age, for general respiratory concerns. Most common referrals for consultation include: known asthma (previously diagnosed), query asthma, recurrent wheeze, chronic cough, dyspnea on exertion, possible sleep disordered breathing and recurrent pulmonary infections. The clinic is supported by nursing staff, administrative support and a respiratory therapist who is capable of performing point of care spirometry and providing asthma education. Hospital facilities which are utilized frequently include diagnostic imaging and the pulmonary function lab.You will be part of a strong Department of Paediatrics helping to serve one of the fastest growing communities in the GTA. There are opportunities for involvement in teaching and creative professional activities, and the successful applicant may be eligible for a faculty appointment at the University of Toronto.Qualifications/Experience:
