Are you ready to join usWhat we need:As a member of a highly autonomous Pharmacy Technician team, working collaboratively with the Clinical Pharmacists, you will provide safe and effective drug distribution services to Markham Stouffville Hospital, Uxbridge Cottage Hospital and our new Reactivation Care Centre. This will include unit dose bin filling using state of the art automation, sterile preparation, chemotherapy preparation, prepackaging and narcotics and unit stocking responsibilities. You will have the opportunity to participate in various committees and share your expertise (i.e. Drugs and Therapeutics, Safe Medication Practice, etc.).Work Schedule:The successful candidate must be available to work days, evenings and weekends. Please note schedules may change based on organizational needs.Compensation:Band R- $27.60 - $32.97 per hourWhat you bring to MSH:Completion of a recognized college level Pharmacy Technician programRegulated as a Pharmacy Technician with the Ontario College of PharmacistPrevious hospital experience with automated unit-dose drug distribution systems including ADUs and IV admixture systems, with experience in aseptic preparation of parenteral and chemotherapy products is preferredProficient computer skillsWell-developed organizational and prioritization skills coupled with the ability to work well in a fast-paced environmentAbility to work on projects as assigned by the ManagerDemonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills with a customer service focusSound independent work habits coupled with proven ability to work collaboratively as part of a teamDemonstrated good attendance and performance records with the ability to maintain these same standardsDemonstrated commitment to a healthy and safe workplace for self and others (staff, patients, families, etc.) by taking all reasonable precautions and working in compliance with hospital related policies, health and safety legislation and best practices and completing relevant mandatory education as requiredDemonstrated good attendance and performance records with the ability to maintain these same standardsDemonstrates a commitment to a healthy and safe workplace for self and others (staff, patients, families, etc.) by taking all reasonable precautions and working in compliance with hospital related policies, health and safety legislation and best practices and completing relevant mandatory education as requiredMarkham Stouffville Hospital takes pride in serving some of Canada’s most diverse communities.
