The primary duties will include tasks related to medication distribution within the Vaccine Clinic. Other pharmacy related duties maybe assigned to provide safe and effective drug distribution services.Duties Include:Receiving shipments and inventory management for COVID-19 vaccine.Temperature monitoring for refrigerators/freezers used in the management of COVID-19 vaccine.Preparation of unit dose vaccine syringes.Medication distribution within the vaccination clinic.Maintaining inventory records for the management of COVDI-10 vaccine.Assist with any other pharmacy duties assigned.Work Schedule:The successful candidate must be available to work days, evenings and weekends. Please note schedules may change based on organizational needs.Compensation:Band R- $27.33 - $32.64 per hourWhat you bring to the role:Completion of a recognized college level Pharmacy Technician programRegulated or working towards as a Pharmacy Technician with the Ontario College of PharmacistPrevious hospital experience IV admixture systems, with experience in aseptic preparation of parenteral products is preferredProficient computer skillsWell-developed organizational and prioritization skills coupled with the ability to work well in a fast-paced environmentAbility to work on projects as assigned by the ManagerDemonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills with a customer service focusSound independent work habits coupled with proven ability to work collaboratively as part of a teamDemonstrated good attendance and performance records with the ability to maintain these same standardsDemonstrated commitment to a healthy and safe workplace for self and others (staff, patients, families, etc.) by taking all reasonable precautions and working in compliance with hospital related policies, health and safety legislation and best practices and completing relevant mandatory education as requiredDemonstrated good attendance and performance records with the ability to maintain these same standardsDemonstrates a commitment to a healthy and safe workplace for self and others (staff, patients, families, etc.) by taking all reasonable precautions and working in compliance with hospital related policies, health and safety legislation and best practices and completing relevant mandatory education as requiredWho we are:Oak Valley Health is one of Ontario’s leading community healthcare organizations.
