And do it all faster and smarter as we combine data science and actuarial expertise to revolutionize how we approach pricing and deliver the best outcome for our customers and strategy.So if you’re ready to help us redesign the way we do business, we want to hear from you!This role will start off as work from home, gradually will be required to work in the Markham, Ontario office location.What you'll doAs a product manager, you will:Develop the product strategy for Data Science projects serving internal business partners, with a focus on driving automation, growth, and profitabilityDevelop an in-depth understanding of internal business processes in your assigned area.Work closely with business partners to understand day-to-day challenges and key areas of opportunity for innovation and growth.Have the ability to drive discussions, engage business partners and deep-dive into processes and systems in order to refine requirements for major product opportunities and features.Focus on the customer journey, simplicity and ease of doing business throughout the phases of implementationEngage directly with users, empathize with their experience and use data to inform product decisionsHave a good technical understanding of implemented solutions, allowing you to balance technical requirements with business priorities and develop roadmaps that take into account complexity of implementation and technical debt remediation.Regularly monitor performance trends and insights in order to measure effectiveness of the implemented solutions.What you'll needYou will need the following skills and experience to succeed in the role:3+ years of industry experience, directly involved in product development and customer-focused projectsEducational or industry experience in data science, computer science or related fieldExcellent at influencing and collaborating across teams.Ability to work closely with technical teams to develop technical solution strategies.A proven track record in successfully delivering product features in an Agile environment.Excellent interpersonal relations and demonstrated ability to work with others effectivelyExcellent interpersonal and communication skills (written, verbal and presentation)Excellent project management skillsWhat sets you apart:Experience working in the Insurance industry and developing products in the areas of underwriting, claims, fraud or data science.Experience with AI or Machine Learning methodologies.What you’ll getCompetitive rewards package including base compensation, eligibility for annual bonus, retirement savings, share plan, health benefits, personal wellness, and volunteer opportunities.Exceptional Career Development opportunities.We’ll support your professional development education.Additional InformationAviva Canada is committed to providing accommodations for people with disabilities during all phases of the hiring process including the application process.
