Are you ready to join usWhat we need:We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Clinical Project Manager for the Planning and Transformation Department to help MSH deliver exceptional care beyond our walls. The Clinical Project Manager is a key role providing support to all sites of the corporation. You will engage with, inform and support internal and external partners and will oversee and be accountable for clinical program planning associated with the growth and transformation of our organization.What you will be responsible for:Develop high level service delivery models for new and existing clinical programs and target populationsIdentify enablers and challenges to implementation of new service delivery modelsReview current clinical service plan and identify key activity areas over a 5 year periodReduce duplication in services and ensuring appropriate use of human and equipment resources in alignment with fundingBuild partnerships with community based health services to address gaps in capacity and/or unmet need for servicesEstablish and sustain effective working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to facilitate and influence project managementWork with user groups, consultants, contractors and other stakeholders through from planning to roll out of new and enhanced clinical programsLiaise with re-development colleagues to ensure architectural or engineering concept development aligns with clinical requirementsPrepare proposals, cost estimates, business cases and cost-benefit analyses for project and budget planning purposesPrepare presentations as well as financial and project approval documentationProvide assistance in writing scopes of work, specifications and guidelines, and recommending sequencing of workAssist in preparing the hospital’s submissions to Ministry’s multi-stage capital planning and review process where requiredIdentify, research, and facilitate alternative funding sources or available commercial or federal incentive programsDevelop innovative solutions to complex problemsAssist with the closeout and settlement of projects as requiredEnsure that project procurement activities are conducted in accordance with the Health System’s existing and current policies, including the Broader Public Sector Procurement Directive (BPS)Assist planning and transformation team in managing space relocation projectsAssuming other duties and responsibilities as assignedWho you are:You are an innovative and patient centered individual who provides excellence within their professionYou are a team player with excellent communication, critical thinking and customer service skillsYou have vision, flexibility, transparency, honesty and practicalityYou are organized, accurate, and able to multi task and meet deadlinesYou support the patient experience, your colleagues and others cultural and spiritual beliefsWork Schedule:Primarily days - Monday to Friday with flexibility to meet needs of the department. Schedules may change based on operational needs.Compensation:BAND G: $42.84 - $52.61 per hourWhat you bring to MSH:Experience as a Clinical Healthcare ProfessionalStrong understanding of clinical programs and servicesUndergraduate degree in a relevant discipline (Master’s degree preferred)Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) designation5-7 years’ experience in practical application of project management theory, including change management, resource planning and management, risk management, evaluation, etc.Knowledge of the Ministry-LHIN capital planning stages and submission process, from Pre-Capital through to Stage 5; for ministry-funded and hospital own-funds capital projectsStrong working knowledge of relevant project management toolsUnderstanding of quality and process improvement conceptsSignificant knowledge of hospital operations processes, health care service delivery models and emerging issues and prioritiesTechnical expertise in the practical implementation of hospital systems, considered an assetExperience in developing business cases to guide decision making regarding financial investmentsBusiness literacyEffective planning, organizing and evaluating skillsRelationship building skills and proven ability to manage projects involving stakeholders from diverse areas, levels and organizationsAdvanced negotiation and conflict resolution skills to ensure positive outcomes for quality patient care when dealing with internal hospital stakeholders and external partnersAbility to use information from multiple sources to formulate recommendations and provide input to planning processesAbility to fact-find using a variety of methods such as interviews, research, reports, best practice guidelines and face-to-face meetingsOrganizational agility and versatility to move comfortably across organizational levels, and influence leadersStrong facilitation skills and ability to manage group processExceptional ability to synthesize complex issues and communicate effectively, with clarity and impact, to various audiences across all organizational levels, utilizing a variety of mediaWell-developed presentation and writing skills and ability to use tact, diplomacy and persuasion to achieve business objectivesComputer literacy utilizing Microsoft Office software applications and proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, business intelligence tools, process mapping, and presentation softwareDemonstrated good attendance and performance records with the ability to maintain these same standardsDemonstrates a commitment to a healthy and safe workplace for self and others (staff, patients, families, etc.) by taking all reasonable precautions and working in compliance with hospital related policies, health and safety legislation and best practices and completing relevant mandatory education as requiredPrevious experience managing multiple projects and demonstrated ability to work effectively within time deadlines.Demonstrated good attendance and performance records with the ability to maintain these same standards.Flexibility with working hours.Markham Stouffville Hospital takes pride in serving some of Canada’s most diverse communities.
