Job Title: Sourcing SpecialistDuration: 9 Months ContractLocation: 650 Markland Street, Markham, ON - L6C 0M1Description:M-F, OT as neededMay work remotely to start, but MUST BE local to Markham, ON and may need to go into office at later date.MUST HAVE: Knowledge/expertise in the electronics/EMS industryMUST BE: Strong self starter and quick to adaptEssential Responsibilities: Shortage escalations + searches for shortage parts via authorized distributors and/or brokers (for mass productions, NPIs, transfer projects)RFQs preparations, follow-ups & analysis (for mass productions, LTBs, NPIs, Transfer projects)Purchase Price variance(PPV) analysis and feedback to the internal stakeholder and external suppliersECOs(Engineer design change ) related sourcing supportLast Time Buy (LTB) workflow initiations and tracking with cross-functional teamsWork effectively with Technology, supplier quality, site materials, and supply chain personnel on day-to-day problem resolutions and continuous improvement opportunitiesManage the complete purchasing and contract administration functionsBasic Qualifications: Knowledge/expertise in electronics/EMS industry is a mustBA/BS degree (Engineering or Business preferred).Minimum 2~5 years of Sourcing / Purchasing experienceStrong self-starter and quick to adaptProven problem-solving skillsStrong oral/written communication and influencing skillsKnowledge/expertise of electronic components and mechanical assembliesProject management and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneouslyStrong negotiation and analytical skillsStrong computer skills (Excel, Outlook, Windows)Desired Characteristics: Global mindset – Be able to work across poles to deliver the end resultAbility to cope with multiple complex situations dailyHighly motivated, self-directed, and self-sufficientPurchasing system / Oracle experienceJob Type: Fixed term contractContract length: 09 monthsPay: $25.00-$28.79 per hourSchedule:
