Job Description

Subsidiary: Miller Paving LimitedAs a Quality Control Technician, You Will:

  • Be responsible for maintaining a safe working environment by complying with all safety guidelines
  • Conduct laboratory and field tests in compliance with prevailing standards and procedures
  • Perform field quality control testing (material sampling, compaction & coring)
  • Examine the samples provided, document and advise on any discrepancies on tests or field reports
  • Ensure that measuring equipment is calibrated
  • Participate in activities related to improvement of the quality system
  • Other duties as required
What Youll Bring:
  • Technical knowledge of aggregate and asphalt quality is an asset
  • Background of aggregate use in road building, concrete and asphalt production is an asset
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to perform in a highly functional team environment
  • Basic Computer and Microsoft Office skills
  • Maintain G class Driver’s License with clean Driver’s Abstract
  • Ability to perform manual labour and list up to 25 kilograms
  • Willingness to work in inclement weather conditions
  • Willingness to work days, nights and weekend shifts as assigned
