We have earned our reputation as one of the most trusted, experienced, and quality-driven concrete suppliers in Canada, with over 100 years of service in the building materials industry.Job Title: Ready Mix DriverExpected Start Date: March 2022 (Earlier start can be accomodated)Location: Markham, Scarborough and TorontoWhat you will do:Delivery of concrete products in a safe and efficient mannerProvide prompt and effective customer serviceMaintain a clean and mechanically sound truckPerform plant and yard duties as assignedWhat you need to have:RequirementsMust have a valid AZ/DZ drivers license with a clean Drivers Abstract and CVORMust be comfortable driving 9-speed manual transmissionMinimum of one-year truck driving experience is preferredMust complete a satisfactory background check and physcial assessmentKnowledgeable and respectful of the Highway Traffic Act and Municipalities BylawsBe flexible to work overtime, weekends, and different shifts as required (Normal shift is 8-12 hours)Perform circle checks, including air brakes and operate various transmissionsAbility to transport material with attention to detail and emphasis on safetyAbility to adhere to personal protective equipment (PPE) policy and maintain individual PPE in functional conditionAbility to follow safety operating and work proceduresPhysical ability to lift up-to 50 pounds, and operate equipment under a wide range of ambient temperatures for extended periods of time.Position Dimensions:Have excellent hearing and visual concentration skillsGreat problem-solving skills; come up with solutions to problems that work for everyone.Deliver exceptional customer service, solve unexpected issues and anticipate future customer needsGreat interpersonal skills, written and oral communication skillsTeam oriented, efficient and collaborative.
