What we are looking for:Join the Talent Strategy team at Oak Valley Health in this exciting and challenging role of Recruitment and Talent Sourcing (RTS) Specialist. Reporting to the Manager, Talent Strategy, the Recruitment and Talent Sourcing Specialist will focus both on Talent Sourcing and Recruitment Specialist duties. This role will coordinate all the sourcing activities but also closely work together with the other Recruitment Specialists, hiring managers, and other members of the Talent Strategy team. The RTS Specialist’s activities include managing various sourcing channels and Oak Valley Health’s talent pool; regularly interacting with both active and passive candidates while also managing a small recruitment portfolio.The successful candidate will primarily be focused on sourcing candidates for all our vacancies. In addition, the RTS Specialist will be involved in all aspects of the daily recruitment process, including job posting and interview question development, short listing, pre-employment screening, referencing, and offers.Additional Responsibilities Include:
  • Supporting Managers with their recruitment needs
  • Lead and implement effective sourcing strategies for multiple disciplines
  • Consultative approach to candidate engagement and retention
  • Source suitable candidates through various sourcing channels including social media platforms
  • Draft and send out recruiting emails to potential candidates
  • Have knowledge of how to use the various sourcing channels
  • Skilled with using sourcing tools and technology
  • Promote our Employer Brand through outreach to community programs, secondary and tertiary educational institutions
  • Ability to build and maintain a talent pool that can meet the company’s current and future hiring needs
  • Experienced with candidate assessment and selection techniques
  • Keep track of pre-defined sourcing metrics and reports on them
  • Participating in other recruitment and human resources initiatives and projects as needed
What you bring to the role:
  • You have 2+ years’ experience in a Talent Sourcing role or similar role in a Recruitment team
  • Minimum of 2 years working in a full scope recruitment function required;
  • Experience in a large healthcare setting is a strong asset
  • Degree or diploma in human resources management, psychology, sociology, business, marketing, communication and/or related experience
  • Experience in a high volume recruitment environment with a proven knowledge of current recruitment best practices
  • Demonstrated strong social networking capabilities
  • Working knowledge of collective agreements and experience working with unions
  • Excellent consultative, critical thinking, problem solving and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with an Applicant Tracking System and HRIS as well as proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically with a proven effective customer focus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and manage time and workload, as well as client expectations
  • Self-directed work habits coupled with positive collaborative abilities
  • Demonstrated good attendance and performance records with the ability to maintain these same standards
  • Demonstrates a commitment to a healthy and safe workplace for self and others (staff, patients, families, etc.) by taking all reasonable precautions and working in compliance with hospital related policies, health and safety legislation and best practices and completing relevant mandatory education as required
Work Schedule:Monday to Friday days (0830-1630).
