Job Description

Subsidiary: Miller Paving LimitedWhat Does a Scheduler DoAs a Scheduler with our heavy civil group, you will help in the development and maintenance of project schedules through different phases of projects. You will also support pre-qualification and design-build proposal submissions by preparing the necessary preliminary schedules. Our Scheduler will support both Finance and Operations teams by providing updated cash-flow, work-on-hand, and resource schedules based on actual project schedules and needs. This person will also work with the Corporate Contract Compliance Team and Project Managers to support potential claims with critical path schedules and gather key information to support our claims.As a Scheduler, You Will:

  • Prepare and regularly update planning and scheduling procedures: issue special planning and scheduling instructions, as required
  • Independently prepare and update project schedules in Primavera P6
  • Attend meetings on different projects, and inform relevant project personnel on schedule and manhours status
  • Develop and maintain a detailed task and deliverable list
  • Attend meetings with contractors at site and update schedules
  • Produce reports and graphics for earned value reporting
  • Prepare complex engineering and construction schedules for projects
  • Maintain schedules
  • Prepare reports for management regarding project scheduling activities
  • Ensure the maintenance of all other essential records and reports related to project scheduling and planning
  • Maintain liaison with project teams regarding scheduling activities and assisting them in determining schedule priorities
  • Provide timely feedback to project managers regarding activities trending away from the set plan, resource needs, cash flow status, and work-on-hand
  • Support project teams and the contract compliance team by providing information related to critical path schedules, schedule variances, and resources to prepare claims
What Youll Bring
  • A technical or business degree from a recognized institution is required
  • Between 2 and 5 years of relevant planning & scheduling experience
  • Knowledge of P6 and other project management tools
  • Experience in an EPC, Design-Build, and P3 environment is preferred
  • Advanced knowledge and experience in Primavera Project Manager
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel and Visio)
  • People oriented with an ability to establish a high degree of credibility with staff and clients
