Are you ready to join usWhat we need:The primary role of the Screener is to greet and screen all staff, contractors, patients, families and visitors that enter Markham Stouffville Hospital or adjacent facilities.Duties & Responsibilities:Review screening tools and assess eligibility for entrancescreen all individuals entering emergency department for signs and symptoms and travel based on the screening toolVerify staff eligibility for entrance (ID Badge or other means)Ensure all persons entering the facility follow proper precautionary measures and wear the correct protective apparel as requiredRefer individuals to advanced screening if requiredDirecting individuals to proper assessment areas as needed Way finding within the emergency department Ability to escalate to triage or charge nurse for immediate assistanceWork Schedule:The successful candidate must be available to work 12 shifts and/or 8 hour shifts during the day, evening or nights including weekends, with flexibility to cover additional shifts as required.
