Our R amp;D team at EPSON Canada researches and develops cutting-edge computer vision and machine learning technologies. We convert conceptual research into tangible customer applications. Technologies developed at Epson Canada have a global reach.Job Overview:We are seeking a highly motivated R amp;D Strategist to join our dynamic team. This individual will lead innovation strategies, driving research and development initiatives, collaborating across departments, and maintaining a strong client relationship. The R amp;D Strategist will play a critical role in advancing product roadmaps, gathering customer feedback, and ensuring alignment with market trends.Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct industry and market research to identify confirm value opportunities
  • Drive projects forward from a user story-based approach, working closely with cross-functional teams to develop and execute product roadmaps.
  • Develop user-stories
  • Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and the R amp;D team, translating business goals into technical specifications.
  • Visit clients on-site to gather feedback and ensure the successful implementation of pilot projects.
  • Present insights and findings to senior leadership and ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Manage proof-of-concept and pilot initiatives, ensuring all stages align with business goals.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Engineering, Business, Computer Science).
  • 3+ years of experience in R amp;D strategy, project management, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of industry trends and emerging technologies.
  • Proficiency in project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum).
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and technical writing skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and translate business goals into actionable plans.
  • Willingness to travel for client visits and project oversight.
