Job Description

You have a proven track record in designing, implementing, managing and documenting on-premises and/or cloud-based IT solutions. You have strong troubleshooting abilities and communicate effectively with people of all technical levels.Responsibilities

  • Design, install, maintain and support our clients’ IT systems
  • Determine clients’ IT requirements and design appropriate on-premises and/or cloud-based solutions
  • Audit, assess and document clients’ IT infrastructure, processes and procedures and make recommendations for improvements
  • Manage and execute IT infrastructure projects
  • Provide remote and on-site support for clients’ IT systems
  • Mentor technical staff and provide escalation support for help desk
  • Design, configure, deploy, monitor and manage server infrastructure and associated systems
  • Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures and scripts
  • Perform regular security monitoring to identify possible intrusions
  • Perform daily support operations to server infrastructure across many clients
  • Research and recommend innovative and, where possible, automated approaches for system administration tasks
Education RequiredMCSE, MCSA or MCITP CertificationExperience Required
  • 5+ years in a senior technical support or consulting role
  • Expert level knowledge of deploying, managing and troubleshooting the following technologies
  • Microsoft Windows server operating systems and core technologies
  • Domains and Active Directory
  • Group policy
  • Remote Desktop Services/VDI
  • Virtualization technologies – Hyper-V, VMware
  • Microsoft Office 365 suite of technologies
  • Backup/disaster recovery solutions
  • Networking equipment and protocols - switches and firewalls, VLANS, DNS, DHCP, SMTP, VPN
  • Server hardware install and configuration
Experience with the following would be an asset
  • AWS
  • Microsoft Azure
  • Powershell Scripting
  • Fortigate/Sonicwall Firewalls
  • Veeam backup and disaster recovery products
