Job Description

Subsidiary: Miller Paving LimitedWhat Does a Talent Development Manager DoWe are looking for an experienced Talent Development Manager to join our Integrated Talent Management team (ITM) which includes Early Talent Acquisition, Talent Development, Employee Engagement, and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. Your partners will be divisional and functional leaders, Human Resources Business Partners (HRBPs) and Talent Acquisition. In this role, you will support the identification, assessment, development planning and mobility of key talent for Miller.As a Talent Development Manager, You Will:

  • Partner with Divisional HRBPs to understand the business and scope the work required to effectively address talent and capability needs in the divisions; create the capability and development plans tied to divisional plans.
  • Collaborate with Divisional HRBPs to develop multi-year integrated talent & development plans in line with the Company/Divisional strategy that outlines the talent strategies and capability priorities critical to driving sustainable growth and exceptional employee experiences.
  • Assess and understand competencies and experience required for future roles specific to innovation, CSR, technology, etc.
  • Support the process for Divisional talent reviews and provide input for Corporate talent reviews by identifying talent pipelines, key commitments/roles for development and learning, and equip HRBPs and leaders to participate effectively in the work
  • Collaborate with Talent Management team to provide input and work through process improvements, information and data needs, tools, and organizational changes to support the outcomes
  • Actively support and co-create the evolution and continuous improvement of the talent management process
  • Ensure talent needs are reviewed with key ITM partners (Talent Acquisition, Talent Development) to drive appropriate hiring, development solutions, and alignment of job profiles
  • Coach HRBPs and Leaders on the “what” and the “how” of talent assessment
  • Partner with HRBPs to ensure integration across individual development and capability-building efforts and plans
  • Partner with Divisional leadership & process owners to identify metrics to assess/measure and monitor the health of the pipeline (i.e., diversity statistics)
  • Influence the opinions of leaders about important talent management issues in concert with HRBP
What Youll Bring:
  • Bachelors degree in a relevant field (ie. Business, HR, Psychology)
  • Minimum of 5 years of recent professional HR experience with 3 years of experience in the development and implementation of programs (performance, and career architecture);
  • Experience creating and executing workforce planning strategies and frameworks
  • Strong group facilitation and planning skills
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and align teams around common goals and objectives
  • Strong organizational skills, including multi-tasking and prioritizing effectively
  • Excellent analytical skills, ability to synthesize information and good judgment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to influence positive working relationships with members at all levels of the organization
  • Excellent oral and written skills
  • Mastery of technological tools and the MS Office suite, more specifically, Word, Excel, PPT and MS Teams and Success Factors
