Job Description

Are you ready to lead in this new era of technology and solve some of the worlds most challenging problems If so, lets talk.Your Role and ResponsibilitiesThis position resides in Markham, Ontario and is an 16 month work term commencing May 2022. It is mandatory that all applicants are enrolled in full-time studies at a post-secondary institution and returning to full-time studies upon completion of the work term.As an information developer in the Automation Content development team, you will be responsible for developing customer facing content. You will collaborate with a diverse group of developers, designers, and testers in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines; coordinating your workload with the wider team but working independently. In this role, you will need to quickly gain a sound theoretical and practical understanding of the technical details and produce content that delights our customers. You could also support the development of common tooling for internal teams to use in addition to working on projects to automate and optimize processes.Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently in a dynamic, team-based environment
  • Able to work independently, with a strong sense of responsibility and commitment to teamwork. You have a volunteer spirit with a we succeed as a team attitude
  • Knowledge of markup languages (such as Markdown and HTM), source control (such as GitHub, FileNet) and authoring tools
  • Problem-solving skills and a willingness to share knowledge and best practices
  • Must be eligible for a 16 month work term commencing May 2022.
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
  • Working on a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Writing, English, Journalism, - Communication, Information Design, or related field, or a technical degree.
  • Knowledge of programming concepts and languages such as Java
  • Good understanding of Cloud computing, which is supplemented by some familiarity with web services, micro services, and other technologies
  • Understanding of scripting languages and ability to write and adjust simple scripts (Bash, Python, NodeJS, Groovy)
  • Co-op or internship program enrollment is preferred.
