We need someone to:

• Operates all equipment in an efficient manner supporting construction and road maintenance services and activities
• Actively supports safety culture by operating equipment and tools in a safe manner reporting all near misses and incidents to management in a timely fashion
• Conducts pre-operational checks to established procedure reporting to Fleet Maintenance when necessary
• Operates a variety of heavy equipment such as backhoes, dozers, loaders, mills, light equipment, and graders in all weather conditions/environments for construction, maintenance, and road works
• Haul gravel, clays and assorted road topping materials
• Operate varying truck combinations: Tandem, Belly Dump, End Dump, and Live Bottom
• Operate Snow Plow & Sanding trucks with hot water sanders
• Ability to perform minor maintenance on equipment : Mechanical Aptitude a Requirement
• Demonstrates good judgment and the ability to think problems through; where applicable, identifies and suggests improvements enhancing job quality.
• Interacts in a professional, courteous and respectful manner that contributes toward a positive and productive worksite

You should have:

• 5+ years Heavy equipment experience
• Must comply with the company’s drug and alcohol policy requirements
• Class 1 clean abstract
• Must be self-motivated and organized
• Physically fit with the ability to perform physical labor in all-weather conditions
• Able to take and follow instruction from supervisor, adjust to changing conditions and communicate any and all needs to supervisor as well as working as part of a team
