Job Description

Service ManagerIf you are driven to help people, passionate about customer service, and ready to lead a successful service team, then this opportunity is for you. We’re searching for an RV service manager who is motivated to excel and serious about a true career in this highly competitive industry. As service manager, our customers, and your team, will look to you for guidance, leadership and expertise.Job Responsibilities

  • Monitor staffing attendance
  • Check previous day technician production numbers: premise time against work order time
  • Communicate with each technician
  • Walk through shop to see what all the technicians are working on
  • Check and respond to emails in a timely fashion
  • Review “Listen 360” reviews and address customer concerns as is necessary
  • Review work orders to ensure they are coded correctly
  • Available for consult and support for technicians, service writers, warranty writers and parts personnel
  • Ensure work orders on clipboards
  • Review that insurance estimates are correct
  • Confirm external estimates are correct, review estimates for accuracy
  • Monitor technicians to ensure are punching in and out of jobs
  • Review the service doc and financial performance of the department daily
  • Provide customer service for issues that need to be addressed at management level
  • Check on next day service appointments
  • Review service logs for length of stay of units on the lot
  • Attend delivery meeting each morning to ensure deliveries are ready and to discuss with Sales and F&I managers barriers for delay
  • Attend service meeting at the end of each day with Service Writers to go over deliveries and incoming service appointment; review oldest service units on the lot and identify barriers
  • Schedule vacation for technicians and service writers
  • Follow-up on received parts for service
Weekly
  • Check open work order report
  • Check weekly production of the shop
  • Attend weekly Management meeting
Monthly
  • Review the DOC
  • Check monthly production of the shop
  • Check production of each technician
  • Check CSI
  • Accounts receivable for service and warranty
On going
  • Interview applicants for the service department
  • Problem solving with employees
  • Ensure the service department is safe
  • Ensure staff have the right equipment and tools
  • Ensure staff have the education necessary to do the work
  • Ensure that there is a positive environment for staff to work in
  • Available to respond to the moment to moment needs of the team
  • Ensure a respectful workplace for all staff
Education and/or ExperienceRV industry experience, management experience and service writer experience are preferred.Benefits
