Job Description

Shipping/Receiving ClerkMaskinonge, QCFull-TimeReference No.QWP-QC-MAS-103-150524SUMMARYReporting to the Plant Manager, the Shipping/Receiving Clerk is responsible for the day-to-day administrative duties related to the plant in order to maximize the effectiveness of customer service levels.EXPECTED CONTRIBUTIONS

  • Process and verify product quantities, ensure accuracy of all tallies and all loads inbound and outbound
  • Distribute orders to ship to Forklift Operators
  • Prepare and verify all shipping documents (Bill of Ladings, Invoice Drafts, etc.) related to outgoing material
  • Process and verify all documents related to incoming material, including customs documents and load building
  • Monitor inbound rail car notifications and arrange for receipt at the re-load yard, coordinate outbound trucking
  • Assist with data entry of production and shipping tallies into an inventory management system
  • Assist with load diagrams for trucks to maximize freight utilization and balance load weights
  • Assist with other duties as required
RequirementsKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
  • Two years’ experience in a shipping and/or receiving atmosphere using a computerized inventory control system
  • Accurate data entry skills
  • Aptitude for details and excellent organizational skills
  • Working experience with shipping documents is preferred
  • Familiar with standard office equipment such as computer and photocopier
  • Experience with MS Office
  • Able to communicate effectively with internal staff and work in a team-focused environment
  • Able to work independently
  • Able to deal with customers and foster positive relationships
EDUCATION
  • High school graduation
  • Diploma or certificate in Business Administration is an asset

HOURS OF WORK
  • Monday to Friday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm
