We #39;re looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our Foodamp; Beverage team, where you #39;ll gain valuable experience working for a dynamic organization. You #39;ll be responsible for preparing, distributing, and selling food, beverages, and merchandise to patrons at events like Tigers Games, concerts, and entertainment events at venues such as Co-Op Place and the Esplanade. These casual positions offer flexible evening and weekend shifts, with some daytime hours, providing a perfect opportunity for career growth and community engagement in a supportive and engaging environment.*Actively recruiting for current and future openings.Your Key Responsibilities:Hospitality Workers I

  • Sets up, open, and close the hospitality booth while ensuring the work area is neat and clean.
  • Prepare and serve beverages for sale, including in-seating service during events.
  • Handle retail sales and complete reconciliations following approved cash handling procedures.
  • Provide general information about the facility, services, events, and attractions when needed.
  • Operate kitchen equipment, such as the grill and deep fryer, for food preparation, adhering to portion sizes, cooking methods, and quality standards.
  • Monitor ice levels in concessions and ensures prompt deliveries as needed.
  • Remove and dispose of recyclables and garbage around food service areas properly.
  • Demonstrate excellent customer service skills, projecting a positive image of self and the organization while being reliable and organized.
Hospitality Workers II
  • Oversee the preparation, distribution, and sale of food and beverages at various City facilities, ensuring work areas are kept neat and clean.
  • Provide direction to Hospitality Workers I and ensures inventory counts are performed and recorded pre and post events.
  • Maintain cash floats, including opening, distributing, making change, and collecting at the end of the day.
  • Responsible for reconciling sales with the point-of-sale system at the close of each day.
  • Ensure patron satisfaction by responding promptly and courteously to requests and concerns.
  • Accept payments from patrons and issues change according to the City #39;s cash handling procedures.
  • Prepare and serve alcoholic beverages in accordance with the Alberta Gaming and Liquor Act.
  • Project a positive image of self and the organization.
Qualifications:*The ideal candidate will demonstrate flexibility and be available to work a casual schedule, including evening and weekend shifts. Hospitality Workers I
  • Must be at least 15 years of age.
  • Previous experience in food preparation and customer service is considered an asset.
  • Successful completion or ability to obtain Food Safe certification.
  • Competitive rate of pay: Starting at $15.00/hr.
Hospitality Workers II
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Successful completion of Grade 12 or High School equivalency diploma.
  • Minimum of two (2) years #39; experience in the foodamp; beverage service industry, including six (6) months supervisory experience.
  • Legally permitted to serve alcohol and successful completion or ability to obtain a Alberta ProServe certification.
  • Competitive rate of pay: Starting at $17.00/hr.
