Job Description

Form-Tech Machining Ltd. is a Western Canadian machine shop that has been operating since 1992.We provide a variety of services including CNC machining, welding and fabrication, CAD, powder coating, pipe threading, custom machining, and much more. We currently have operations based out of Calgary and Medicine Hat and are seeking a CNC machinist with milling experience to join our team.   • Set up and operate CNC milling machines to perform precision machining operations
  • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications to determine machining operations
  • Use measuring tools and gauges to ensure parts meet required specifications
  • Monitor machine performance and make adjustments as necessary to maintain quality standards - Inspect finished parts for defects and ensure they meet quality standards
  • Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and improve processes
**Experience with Oil and Gas Industry (downhole tools, fracking tools, one-offs etc.) is an assetRequirements
  • Experience operating CNC milling machines
  • Proficient in blueprint reading and interpreting engineering drawings
  • Ability to assemble and fabricate parts according to specifications
  • Knowledge of SolidWorks or CAD software is a plus
  • Mechanical knowledge and understanding of machining principles
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision
  • Forklift certification is preferred but not required
