Job Description

Valleyview Co-op is hiring a part-time PRODUCE CLERK at our FOOD STORE in Melita, MB.Who we are:Co-op does business differently. To learn more about who we are and how you can help bring our brand to life, visit us at www.valleyviewco-op.crsWhat you’ll do:Under the direction of the Store Manager, a Produce Clerk is responsible for providing exceptional customer service to members as well ensuring merchandising and image standards for the department are maintained to deliver solutions that matter most to the customer. The Produce clerk supports the operational goals of the department:

  • Receiving, inspection and storage of merchandise
  • Customer service, housekeeping, and cleaning
  • Stocking shelves – prepare (cuts), assemble, cull, rotate, and display product
  • Other assigned duties in the store

  • Mature, reliable, and able to work independently
  • Strong time management skills
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs or more
Applicants must be available for 32 or more hours/wk.
