Duration: Starting April – 12 month term with possibility of extension The City of Melville is requesting applications for the interim position of Administrative Assistant. This position is under the direct supervision of the Administration and Assessment Manager and is responsible for administrative and clerical services to the City of Melville. The employee performing in this position is responsible for front counter reception and customer service including greeting and assisting the public in person and by telephone and email, processing customer payments, providing administrative support to Management team, and performing other related duties as assigned. The employee performing in this position must display a positive attitude, demonstrate the ability to pay attention to detail while working efficiently, be adaptable and work effectively within a variety of situations, be committed to professional learning towards enhancing skills and knowledge, be able to work as a team player and work independently with minimal supervision, and be able to maintain strict confidentiality.
