We are Atlantic Canada STRONGO’Brien overhead cranes are manufactured locally in Memramcook, New Brunswick, and provide an optimal solution for your day-to-day or industry-specific lifting requirements. After over 25 years in the crane manufacturing industry, we pride ourselves on our reputation for excellence as the only full-service crane manufacturer in Atlantic Canada.We are currently seeking a Crane Service Manager to join our team.SummaryThe Crane Service Manager will provide support to the busy service department in their day-to-day tasks. This position prepares quotations for repair estimates, sources necessary parts in order to fulfill customer requests, answers phones and assists customers and technicians with questions. This role interacts with many different internal departments and also works hand in hand with the Customer Relations Manager therefore must be versatile in their communication skills. This role manages the service department activities therefore developing strong relationships is essential. This position is both a technical and clerical role and reports to the Operations Manager.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:· All crane service technicians report to this position· To provide customer support as applicable including addressing day to day service needs and spare parts enquiries· Prepare required paperwork for service technicians including daily work orders and pre-done inspection reports· Create and maintain service records for inspections· Quote inspection follow up work and shop repair statements· Quote inspection follow up work and shop repair estimates· Source necessary materials and equipment for service work and parts requirements· Schedule and coordinate planned service work for the technicians· Assist in preparation of service contracts/proposals for new equipment· Provide support and back-up to Customer Support Manager as required· Approve time off and vacation requests for technicians· Performs yearly reviews with technicians and address any concerns if required· Assist and respond to telephone (after hours service requests) and emails, assisting customers in determining their parts requirements, including quoting and processing service orders· Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures for department· Scope and quote repairs· Support Project Manager in scheduling new installation of cranes.· Quoting Preventative Maintenance Inspection repairs· Other duties or special projects as requiredREQUIREMENTS:· College Diploma in business administration or related field· Minimum 8 years’ experience working in a service industry or related field· Demonstrated ability to accurately calculate, post, correct, and manage account records· Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with staff members as well as customers· High level of critical and logical thinking, analysis, and/or reasoning to identify underlying principles, reasons, or facts· Able to work efficiently as a part of a team as well as independently· Able to work well under pressure and meet set deadlines· Strong work ethic and positive team attitude· Must have a self-starter attitude· Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.· Strong problem identification and problem resolution skills· Able to utilize Microsoft OfficeJob Types: Full-time, PermanentSalary: From $60,000.00 per yearBenefits:
