In particular, Soldiers Memorial Hospital (SMH) is seeking an Emergency Physician for full-time. The successful candidate may also participate in teaching through the Annapolis Valley site family medicine residency program and/or with medical students through Dalhousie University.As the successful candidate you will join a province-wide network of Emergency Departments, referral centres, and integrated air/ground EMS system providing quality care to acutely ill and injured patients in Nova Scotia.The successful candidate will join a multi-disciplinary team at your Emergency Department site providing leadership in the resuscitation and stabilization of major trauma patients and critically ill patients that present to the Emergency Department. You will also be expected to appropriately assess and manage the full spectrum of emergency medicine presentations from injury (minor to major), to unexpected and undifferentiated medical and surgical illness in all ages, to mental health emergencies.Responsibilities
