Job Description

We are looking for a full-time and part-time Registered Early Childhood Educator/ ECA to join our Tiny Hoppers team.A successful candidate should be able to display strong communication skills, kind and gentle when interacting with children, and use creative ways when engaged with children.Requirements:

  • Current CPR/First Aid.
  • Current police clearance with the vulnerable sectors.
  • Registered with the Ontario ECE College.
  • Immunization records.
  • Food Handlers certificate (preferred).
  • Good organizational skills and communication (Oral and written).
  • Must have the ability to stand, walk, bend, crouch, and kneel.
  • Must be able to assist with our planned daily program and activities.
  • Must be able to maintain proper documentation.
Responsibilities:
  • Keeping children safe.
  • Teaching and following a daily routine.
  • Imparting knowledge to children through fun and play based on the interests of the children through observations.
  • Consistently planning creative ways of keeping children actively engaged.
  • Ensuring the social and emotional growth of the child.
  • Addressing the physical needs of the individual child or group.
  • Positive relationships and good communication with parents.
  • Communicating and interacting positively with coworkers, the children, Director, and the owners.
  • Ensure you are adhering to the regulations of the Child Care Licensing Act at all times Interacting with children.
  • Follow the Emergent Curriculum when planning activities.
