Job Description

Our approach to virtual care incorporates the use of advanced, secure virtual technology, and a full-service client concierge, to deliver effective treatment where you can connect directly with your clients to assist in their care as well as facilitate consultations.As an ABA Therapist on our team, you are an integral part of our specialized services for clients with Autism Spectrum Disorders or other developmental disabilities. You will work with an interdisciplinary team of experts to support your clients in achieving their goals. Our commitment to excellence goes beyond the way we serve our communities. We will empower you to enrich lives and achieve amazing results by doing what you do best.Job Types: Part-timeStart Date: ASAPWork setup: Center-based, Weekdays 9-4 and some evening flexibility between 4:30 and 6:30 pmSalary: From $22.00/hrTake an inside look at what you will do each day:

  • Responsible for implementing treatment plans based on best practices.
  • Uses systematic methods and behavioural strategies to support client in changing their behaviour
  • Contributes to the development of ABA programs established by the BCBA to teach and reinforce a variety of skills for children and youth in a 1:1 and/or small group setting
  • Understand the functions of behavior and responding appropriately and safely when situations arise
  • Adhere to all ABA training, procedures and protocols
  • Ability to adapt to changing conditions and/or routine and provide creative solutions
  • Responsible for creating a positive and engaging environment for the client
  • Responsible for maintaining the well-being and safety of the client while under their care
  • Responsible to track client progress through the collection of data and graphing while keeping clients engaged • Assists in conducting baseline measurements and other indirect measures as instructed by the Lead Therapist/BCaBA/BCBA
  • Responsible to complete incident report in Microsoft Teams as per regional requirements within 24 hours of an incident
  • Prepares teaching materials and organizes teaching environment
  • Documents/records exceptional circumstances, completes ABC logs, and tracks multiple behaviours
  • Organize and maintain program binders foreach client to include documentation, data collection, and individual files
  • Maintains workspace organization and cleanliness
  • Responsible for completing indirect work under the direction of the clinician in the appropriate time allotted and framework expected.
Here is what you will need to be successful
  • Experience working with children and youth with complex needs and/or developmental disabilities will be considered an asset
  • Enrollment in or degree from a post-secondary program of Psychology, Educational Psychology, Special Education, or another related field is an asset
  • Autism Spectrum Disorder specific coursework, training or workshops an asset
  • Experience working with clients who have a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder or other developmental disabilities
