  • Mechanical fixture assembly
  • Electronics knowledge (board and system level not component level)
  • Computer skills, software install knowledge
Supports engineering activities such as assembly, fabrication, modification, test and validation of test jigs, fixtures and cable testers design, test. Works from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts or defined plans to assemble and perform testing, validation and trouble-shooting functions of a moderately difficult level. Performs operational test and fault isolation on systems and equipment. Assists in determining methods or actions to remedy malfunctions.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assembles various fixtures that supports manufacturing testing and validation of engineered products.
  • Builds, calibrates, maintains, troubleshoots and repairs various fixtures.
  • Demonstrates technical knowledge and experience to anticipate and solve problems.
  • Work from schematics, diagrams, sketches and concepts to assemble finished parts for test jigs, fixtures and cable testers.
  • Assist in debugging various fixtures.
  • Ability to work with various tools that aid in assembly of fixtures.
  • Assist Engineers in constructing fixtures of an electro-mechanical nature including final assembly, electrical wiring, and operation of supporting electronic equipment such as oscilloscopes, power supplies, and PC #39;s.
  • Set up, conduct, and record information on component and system testing.
  • Prepare reports, graphs, and other Engineering analysis on spreadsheets and on other PC generated formats.
  • Produce required documentation in a thorough manner within the prescribed time as deemed by Engineering team.
  • Organize and maintain lab facilities and equipment.
  • Support engineering pilot runs with respect to fixturing.
  • Maintain effective communication skills, work ethic, and cooperation with peers and Engineers.
