You will lead a team of designers and collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure the brand #39;s visual representation is consistent and aligned with the organization #39;s values and objectives. Additionally, you will have a focus on ensuring AODA compliance for communication products. What will you do
  • In collaboration with the Communications Director and senior leadership, develop and implement the overall brand strategy.
  • Develop and maintain the visual identity and design guidelines for the organization #39;s brand, including the logo, color palette, typography, and imagery.
  • Ensure visual consistency and quality across all brand touch points, including websites, social media, campaigns, patient materials, and physical spaces.
  • Collaborate with teams, providing guidance and support to ensure communication products, such as employee handbooks, policies, and external documents, adhere to AODA guidelines.
  • Manage the design and production of all brand-related materials, including print and digital
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in visual identity and design, and recommend updates to the brand guidelines as needed.
  • Lead and inspire a team of designers, providing guidance, feedback, and mentorship.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including web, social, and communication teams, to understand design requirements and deliver impactful solutions.
  • Work with external vendors and agencies to ensure brand consistency across all channels and touchpoints.
  • Regular collaboration with cross-functional teams across the organization.
What must you have
  • Bachelor #39;s degree in graphic design, visual communication, marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (5 years) in brand management, visual identity design, and creative direction.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing a range of design products and expertise in brand development.
  • Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign) and other relevant tools.
  • Deep understanding of design principles, typography, color theory, and visual storytelling.
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain brand guidelines and ensure consistency across all touchpoints.
  • Excellent project management skills, including prioritizing tasks, meeting deadlines, and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Expert understanding of branding, and the ability to create a visual identity that aligns with our values, mission, and target audience.
  • You are ready to grow your career and lead a graphic design team! Strong leadership and team management abilities, with the capacity to inspire and motivate a creative team.
  • Strong writing skills to develop effective messaging which is at the heart of a brand strategy.
  • Excellent communication skills, flawless English both oral and written, with the ability to articulate design concepts and strategies effectively and to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in brand management and design.
What would give you the edge
  • Knowledge of HTML/CSS, UX design, and digital design best practices is a plus.
  • Familiarity with the health care environment, how our organization fits within it, and how to reach our stakeholders.
