Our commitment to our customers, our consumers and our employees is unsurpassed.Please note: This role can be based from our London, ON or Mississauga, ON officesThe Product Manager I will be responsible for the development and execution of strategic marketing activities for the Customer Brands portfolio to achieve sales and profit goals. This position will have overall responsibility for volume, profitability, assortment, pricing, packaging, distribution, merchandising, and new product plans.RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage Customer Brands P amp;L (Private Label and Economy product lines).
  • Identify and implement growth initiatives and manage product forecasting.
  • Manage customer contracts and product life-cycle including SKU rationalization, new product business case development, and commercial strategy and implementation.
  • Recommend product and channel pricing strategy, develop and maintain pricing and promotion parameters, and implement cost reduction opportunities.
  • Responsible for recommendations relating to promotion development and forecasting, competitive analysis, trade, and customer communications.
  • Provide strategic and tactical coordination across sales, finance, supply chain, product development, procurement, graphics, and legal.
  • Prepare and deliver ongoing business updates and reports, including monthly and quarterly business reviews, reporting to senior marketing and leadership
  • Exercise discretion regarding strategic recommendations, data and sources, analytic conclusions, and financial recommendations.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor #39;s Degree in Marketing, or related field
  • Demonstrated relevant skills and results in consumer packaged goods marketing or closely related field
  • Expertise in syndicated databases, business and brand planning, finance, promotional activities, and market research
  • Strong project leadership experience with ability to manage multiple projects and cross-functional teams
  • Sound understanding of concepts, principles and practices in Marketing (functional expert) and a basic knowledge in other areas including Sales, Finance and Supply Chain
  • In-depth understanding of how own area integrates with other Marketing areas and with other functional areas such as Sales
  • Deep understanding of the industry sector and competitive landscape
  • Developed communication and diplomacy skills required to guide, influence, and convince others (internal and external); often customer-facing; interactions with senior leadership.
  • Strong leadership, strategic thinking, communication, and teamwork skills
