With dedication and experience, our people make a difference every day to our clients, our business and to each other.PurposeThis role supports the day-to-day execution of the AP and AR Billing teams.The role ensures the timely and efficient invoicing to our customers and the auditing and approval of carrier invoices, P amp;L reporting for all in/out-bound transportation services provided by National Logistics Services.This role will support the overall team goals by ensuring billing timelines are met. Responsibilities

  • Responsible for supporting the team in ensuring day-to-day billing requirements are met.
  • Assist in generating the weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly invoicing reports of all Transportation customers, utilizing report tools and data entry.
  • Responsible for auditing and GL coding of all Transportation carrier/vendor invoices billed to NLS.
  • Provide daily, weekly, and monthly cost/revenue figures to the internal NLS Transport stakeholders (Director, Transportationamp; Carrier Management Transportation).
  • Work with Finance to ensure Month End timelines are met.
  • Liaise with internal departments related to issues regarding transportation billing inquiries.
  • Work with the AR/AP Billing team to resolve questions, requests, and billing issues from internal or external parties in a prompt and courteous manner.
  • Communicate customer and carrier billing concerns or trends to the Pricingamp; Carrier Management of Transport for escalation and follow-up.
  • Prepare and submit various reports as required for internal (NLS) and external (client) use.
  • Liaison with Client Solutions Manager (CSM) and Manager, Pricingamp; Carrier Management on all service/billing escalation issues.
  • Update FCA weekly, Intermodal, and Drayage (monthly) in CXT
  • Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
  • University Degree or College diploma is an asset
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • 3-5 years of experience in an administrative role, accounts payables and receivables
  • Excellent computer skills, advance working knowledge of Excel.
  • Well organized and strong attention to detail
  • Strong time management and priority setting practices
  • works well under deadlines
  • Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Able and willing to work overtime as required in order to meet time-sensitive service level standards.
