YMCA of Greater Moncton Job Opportunity Job Title: Deck Supervisor Background on the YMCA of Department: Aquatics Greater Moncton Status: Full-Time 40hrs/week, Salaried Start Date: November 21, 2022Position Overview Reporting to the Sr. Director, Aquatics & Volunteer Development; the Aquatic Deck Supervisor will b responsible for ensuring that we are delivering Aquatic program excellence and will oversee the supervision and safe operation of these programs in accordance to the YMCA of Greater Moncton Aquatic Standards, YMCA National Aquatic Standards, and SAM 2.1 expectations are met.Duties- Monitors the safety of aquatic programs- Deals effectively and professionally with YMCA members concerns.- Maintains effective communication with alllevels of staff and directors in the aquatic department as well as MembershipServices.- Coaching and mentoring Lifeguards andSwim Instructors in accordance to the YMCA policies & procedures.- Responsible for direct program delivery assigned. Which can include lifeguarding, and teaching.- Assist with staffing including hiring and onboarding new staff- Help conduct ongoing evaluations of Lifeguard and Swim Instructors by using the YMCA Behaviour Grids.- Ensures all records are kept and daily chemistry test and other checklists are completed.- Other duties as assignedSkills & Qualifications Work with the YMCA
