Job Description

Experienced Asphalt Worker - Finisher / Lute ManGrey Rock Materials is seeking experienced individuals to join our asphalt paving team. Everyone participates with the team and various roles are expected.Finisher:

  • The Asphalt Lute Persons primary function is to use the lute rake to straighten asphalt joints and for hand working areas the paving machine is unable to reach.
  • The Asphalt Lute Person is required to perform daily maintenance on tools and to ensure all tools are stored properly at the end of each shift.
  • In addition, the Asphalt Lute Person is expected to assist in the general operation of each job site
  • Experienced individual with asphalt works. From using the lute/rake to finish the mat to plate packing and operating the compaction roller.
  • A valid Class 5 driver’s license is required (Class 3 with air is a plus).
  • Experience with operating equipment is a plus (skid steer, hauling equipment trailers, etc.).
  • Motivated, safety conscious, punctual, and responsible.
  • Able to withstand heat and lifting up to 50Lbs.
