Job Description

Position Summary: CASINO NEW BRUNSWICK is seeking team members to join the Count Team! This position is responsible for the accurate counting of cash assets in the Count Room and the movement of cash assets from the Gaming Floor to the Cage. This position also involves managing transactions between vault and colleague cash desks and maintaining/balancing a float.   • Counting bills, coins and cash equivalents
  • Organizing and securing the storage of count carts, drop boxes, drop buckets and bill cartridges for count pulls
  • Reporting suspect cash and cash equivalents
  • Verifying and reconciling before and after counts
  • Bagging, bundling, securing and transporting counts
  • Providing information for reporting purposes
  • Communicating effectively with all appropriate operational departments
  • Building strong working relationships with internal and external guests
  • Complying with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations
  • Performing other duties as assigned or directed
Education and Qualification Requirements:
  • Superior guest service skills with a Make it Happen attitude
  • Understanding of yourself as well as others when communicating with team members and guests
  • A passion for providing exceptional service to our external guests in the quest of achieving service excellence
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to understand, speak and write in English
  • Working knowledge of computers
  • Two years cash handling experience in a customer service position
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks at one time
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced, busy environment
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Dependable and reliable with a demonstrated commitment to service excellence
  • Must be available to work a variety of shifts including days, nights and weekends
Work Environment Conditions: · Use proper lifting, bending, pushing and pulling techniques· Perform job tasks and remain vigilant in the event of an emergency· The capabilities to multi task under time constraints· Work within a 24/7 operation with ability to work flexible hours when required (days, evening, nights, weekends and holidays)· Willing to submit to a criminal record check with results acceptable to our organization, standards and position, and/or obtain and maintain an NBLGC license registration· Must have employment eligibility in Canada· Must be 19 years of age or olderSpecial Working Conditions: Our reputation is of paramount importance.
