Job Description

Eassons Transport has its headquarters in Kentville NS, with terminals in Coldbrook, NS, Sydney, NS, Albany, PEI, Moncton, NB, Mount Pearl, NL, Belleville, ON and Mississauga, ON. Eassons operates approximately 325 trucks and employs over 400 people. Eassons Transport Limited provides long haul services from coast to coast and in the United States.A key member of our TEAM supporting our Moncton terminal.Core duties:Source, recruit, interview and qualify drivers including:

  • Determination of recruitment requirements
  • Advertising
  • Adhere to Eassons hiring Polices
  • Administer Alcohol and Drug testing of new hires and random tested as required.
  • Facilitate driving tests for potential drivers
  • Representation at industry events including career fairs, trade schools, driving schools and trucks shows
  • Qualify drivers/reference checks, other
  • Travel to other terminals will be required
  • Participate in driver retention – constant contact with hires
  • Participate in/on-boarding of driver/orientation process
  • Detailed reporting, including recruitment metrics to determine optimal strategies
  • Create/oversee marketing/social media as related to the position
Qualifications
  • Minimum of five years’ experience in the position of Driver Recruiter
  • Preference will be given to candidates with experience recruiting for cross-borders operations
  • Preference will be given to candidates with a class 1 commercial license
  • Above average computer skills
  • Above average interpersonal and motivational skills
  • Above average organizational, planning and time management skills
  • Above average verbal and written communication skills
  • HR background an asset
  • Experience with LMIA process
