Job Description

Grey Rock Materials is in urgent need for an experienced grader operator that can handle foreman responsibilities.This is a full-time seasonal position.What’s involvedDuties include but are not limited to the following:

  • Checking elevations and grades using GPS, levels & lasers for earth and rock excavation, ditching, granular placement and culvert installations.
  • Fine-grading granular surfaces for paving
  • Adjusting and rebuilding manhole and catch basin frame and grates
  • Setting up traffic control for daily operations
  • Coordinating trucks and providing instructions to equipment operators
What’s required
  • Experienced in checking elevations and grades
  • Prior experience on a roadway/highway construction crew is an asset
  • Able to complete basic mathematics to add and subtract to calculate cut and fill elevations
  • Strong communication skills
  • Punctual, reliable, and hard working
  • Enjoys being part of a team
  • Able to work independently in a busy environment
  • Comfort in working in a rugged outdoor environment
  • Must be organized and able to plan ahead
  • Valid Class1 Driver`s License is an asset, Class 5 License is required
  • Safety conscious
Job Types: Full-time, SeasonalContract length: 7 monthsSalary: $28.00 per hourSchedule:
