Job Description

This role provides support for the efficient and effective operations of the Human Resources Department in areas including recruitment, onboarding and administrative tasks. The role liaises closely with other members of the HR team and local departments by providing customer focused comprehensive support.Our ideal candidate is fully bilingual in French and English.Note: This is a term position, expected to be 12 months in lengthJob Responsibilities

  • Assists with recruitment and on-boarding efforts including job posting process, arranging interviews, reference checking, entry level recruiting, recruiting events, new hire process, new hire orientations and exit interviews process.
  • Enters employee transactions such as new hires and terminations, into the Human Resource Management Systems (HRMS) and supports time and attendance processes.
  • Maintains employee files and prepares employee documentation including employment letters and offer letters.
  • Conducts research, generates reports and analyzes key HR metrics.
  • Provides front line services to employees, responds to general HR queries, providing advice and counsel for routine matters.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Diploma/Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 1-3 year of human resources experience and working towards a Certified Human Resource Professional (CHRP) designation
  • General knowledge of local employment standards and human rights legislation
  • Proficient MS Office skills
  • Sound analytical skills, detail oriented, able to work with a high level of accuracy
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with internal and external stakeholders
  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written
  • Good organizational skills including the ability to multi-task and prioritize/re-prioritize
  • A team player that fosters a collaborative spirit with the ability to anticipate the needs of the team/department
  • Strong judgment and discretion in handling confidential information
  • Bilingualism required in English and French
