No matter the role, you can make a valuable contribution and help transform the lives of others.Position Overview: Reporting to the Director of Membership, this part-time position will be responsible for providing excellent customer service to members, potential members and the public.Duties: * Serve as a role model to members, volunteers and staff by demonstrating our YMCA values.* Provide current and accurate information to members and prospective members in a professional and friendly manner in person, on the phone, and by email.* Offer tours to prospective members and answer any questions they have about our programs and services.* Master our membership software to sell, cancel, and suspend memberships.* Help members and the public navigate our online platforms.* Complete general office duties as required.* Perform other duties as assigned.Skills & Qualifications* Genuine desire to help others take the first steps towards lasting health.* Willingness to learn about the YMCA standards of service and to deliver exceptional YMCA member experiences.* Able to work flexible hours – early mornings, days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.* Welcoming spirit and are ready to invite people to join the YMCA.* Able to take initiative and problem solve in stressful situations.* Confidence in using a computer to complete tasks and proficient in data entry.* Bilingualism required (English & French)* A criminal record check is required as a condition of employment* Standard First Aid and Basic Rescuer CPR (within 60 days of hire)Competencies* Commitment to the Organization and its Values* Service Orientation* Relationship Building* Multitasking* Team work* CommunicationWe thank all candidates for their interest, however, only those selected for an interview will be contacted.Job Types: Full-time, Part-timeSalary: $16.00 per hourSchedule:
