As the management company for Ambulance New Brunswick and the Extra-Mural Program, we’re looking for a Product and Release Coordinator, to help support our growing operation, which provides exemplary, highly coordinated primary health care in the right place, from the right provider, at the right time.Medavie Health Services is part of Medavie, a health services organization. Together with Medavie Blue Cross, we are committed to providing innovative solutions that will improve the health of all Canadians.As a not-for-profit organization, Medavie is proud to commit an annual social dividend to the Medavie Health Foundation to support programs and initiatives aimed at addressing some of our country’s most pressing physical and mental health care challenges.As a Product and Release Coordinator, you will be responsible to work with the program manager, medical director and other management staff to identify system requirements, configure the changes in the system (CHR), own the process for release management ensuring that changes are well documented and communicated to users and released according to proper schedules. Regular changes will include but not limited to building forms, questionnaires, letter templates, workflows and user activation/termination. Product and Release Coordinator will work closely with the solution vendor to review their release plans, understand their product development roadmap and work with staff to identify and document the program’s development roadmap.Major responsibilities include:

  • Assess business needs and document system configuration requirements;
  • Analyze configuration requirements and define and document appropriate solution;
  • Estimate approximate effort required to produce appropriate solution/changes;
  • Work with the operations team to understand solution scope and vision for the program;
  • Work with the solution vendor and internal teams to design and implement appropriate solution(s);
  • Plan and execute assigned configuration tasks within established deadlines and provide system configuration support based upon changing operational needs;
  • Investigate defects, analyze, and resolve configuration issues in a timely manner;
  • Provide mentorship, coaching and guidance to any team members on the configuration changes;
  • Support the data analytics team in regards to the analytics dashboard and data export function(s);
  • Establish and own the change and release management process(es);
  • Provide ongoing support in developing, implementing, and testing patch releases and system upgrades;
  • Develop and maintain configuration policies and procedures;
  • Maintain a Release Calendar that indicates the schedule for specific Software/Systems and dashboards for visibility;
  • Define and document the release scope, schedule, deliverables, contact lists, pre- and post-deployment activities and roll back plans;
  • Identify and document post production implementation validation and required testers;
  • Develop a quality assurance program supporting a high-quality and sustainable solution/service.
As the ideal candidate for this position you:
  • Have a post-secondary education, preferably in business, computer science or an equivalent combination of training, education and experience;
  • Possess a minimum of three years’ experience in a system administrator, release management or business analysis role;
  • Possess demonstrated knowledge and/or experience in health care;
  • Have experience working with business owners in an operational environment;
  • Possess excellent interpersonal and client management skills, with the ability to grasp patient-centered design principles;
  • Have the ability to assemble, analyze and evaluate moderate to highly complex data;
  • Are a driven a self-starter with strong analytical thinking skills, an appreciation for detail, and a desire for and demonstrated experience with process improvement and a willingness to learn.
