This year, were proud to be a winner of Canada’s Best Managed Companies, the country’s leading business awards program recognizing excellence in Canadian-owned and managed companies.Your Opportunity at BioScriptWe are looking for an engaged, experienced individual based out of Moncton, New Brunswick or Oakville, Ontario to take on the role of Project Manager for our network of companies.The Project Manager oversees the planning, implementation, and tracking of assigned projects that support all areas of the organization, with a focus on technology, and in some cases through an agile technical implementation until formal project closure.You will be accountable for:Planning

  • For each project, develop a project charter to include project governance, scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring feasibility and strategic alignment
  • Develop comprehensive project plans that merge stakeholder requirements with company goals and coordinate various stakeholders and technical personnel during all project phases, from initiation through to implementation
  • Experience with company-wide installation and software implementation. Ensuring staff is trained properly on new functionality and procedures.
  • Review and approve the project schedule with project owner(s) and any other internal or external stakeholders that will be affected by the project
  • Effectively allocate the required resources to project activities
  • Support with the researching of potential vendors, finding solutions that best suit the needs of the stakeholders, while integrating properly with the existing infrastructure
  • Establish all appropriate plans at the start of the project (i.e. communication plan, meeting cadence, etc.)
  • Minimize risk exposure and risk on projects through early identification and by providing thoughtful and timely recommendations for risk management
  • Determine the objectives and measures upon which the project will be evaluated at its completion
  • Plan for end users/employees transition to the new software and hardware
Implementing
  • Execute the required project activities according to the project schedule
  • Coordinate and lead both internal and external stakeholder meetings throughout the duration of project, ensuring team members from all areas are completing project tasks as planned
  • Ability to collaborate with agile Product Owners and Product Stakeholders to ensure clear vision and requirements, while providing visibility to key stakeholders in the organization
  • Follow a governance structure to ensure timely project status reporting to leadership, and ensure key stakeholders are informed throughout all phases of the project
  • Document and manage any changes to the scope of work and delivery schedule
  • Recommend information technology strategies, policies, and procedures by evaluating organization outcomes; identifying problems; evaluating trends; anticipating requirements
  • Serve as advocate for key stakeholder(s) and collaborate internally and externally as needed to ensure their needs are understood and expectations are met
  • Ensure compliance to regulatory, quality, ethics, and legal for all projects
Controlling
  • Continually ensure that the project deliverables are on time, within scope and budget as per project schedule and appropriate plans
  • Monitor the progress of the project and adjust as necessary to ensure successful completion of the project
  • Manage accountability, track project status, manage and escalate project issues and risks as appropriate. Report and escalate to management as needed.
  • Work with the project owner/stakeholder to sign-off on the project and document all the client specific needs and processes ensuring validation and confirmation on the project implementation
Closing
  • Evaluate the outcomes of the project as established during the planning phase, including review of lessons learned, implementation of process improvements, etc.
  • Effectively close the project and transition to operations, as required
Your experience includes:
  • University Degree in Business, Healthcare, or related field
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification an asset
  • 8 or more years of project management experience
  • Experience with large enterprise applications an asset
  • Outstanding leadership, organizational, and time management skills
  • Focus on customer service, collaboration, and teamwork
  • Flexible, adaptable, and comfortable living in ambiguity. Able to provide strong leadership during times of change.
  • Existing knowledge of healthcare industry is an asset
  • Willingness to travel occasionally
