This is why we are moving forward together, in the right direction.YOUR ROLEReporting to the quality assurance coordinator, the quality assurance technician coordinates and executes all activities related to the quality assurance of raw materials, products undergoing processing and finished products while maintaining good manufacturing practices (GMP), HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) and other applicable certifications.As a quality assurance technician, you will contribute to the continuous improvement of manufacturing processes in collaboration with the manager and staff of the mill.Quality control (40%)

  • Perform daily, weekly and monthly quality assurance tasks to ensure production compliance to established standards;
  • Manage internal (durability, fine particle rate, particle size, visual control) and external (laboratory) analysis. Report non-conformities and record data. Produce reports and analyze trends.
Quality system management (40%)
  • Ensure the transition of the quality system to the new version of the FeedAssure standard;
  • Coordinate the maintenance and improvement of the quality assurance system in accordance with the standards of the FeedAssure program and the regulations applicable in the animal feed industry;
  • Follow up of external audits and inspections : FeedAssure, CFIA and other applicable certification;
Complaint and non-conformances management (20%)
  • Manage complaints: investigation, treatment and follow-up;
  • Provide production support by dealing with non compliances;
  • Ensure the link between the plant and the various external stakeholders involved in issues associated with quality assurance.
YOUR ASSETS
  • You possess a diploma in Agronomy, Food Science or in a relevant academic field;
  • You possess 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in quality assurance;
  • You have good knowledge of GMP and HACCP programs. Knowledge of the FeedAssure program is an asset;
  • You possess experience in project management as well as project implementation;
  • You are results-oriented and you are recognized for your capacity of team mobilization;
  • you stand out for your ability to influence, your methodical nature, your depth of analysis and your ability to work in a team;
  • we recognize you for your efficient and rapid decision-making, your sense of organization and your autonomy;
  • You are intermediate level with MS Office suite.
