Job Description

Harding Medical Supplies, a division of CAN-med Healthcare, takes pride in delivering superior service and support, providing customers with improved mobility and independence. CAN-med Healthcare is a Canadian-owned value added distributor of medical surgical, dental, mobility and home health care products and services, serving healthcare providers within Atlantic Canada.The Moncton N.B. location of Harding Medical is now looking for a full-time Sales Representative. The successful candidate will work with professionals and clients in rehabilitation and long term care out of the Moncton location, with some travel within the province. You will provide equipment and solutions to people with physical disabilities so they may conquer the challenges of everyday life whether its wheelchairs, elevators, scooters or aids for daily living.The ideal person will have experience working in a business that provides services to persons with physical disabilities. You are a team player who can provide leadership and has strong organizational skills. A technical background with experience in mechanical and electrical systems would also be beneficial to this role.Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain contact with health care professionals to promote sales of home health care medical equipment; provide information on new or existing products; conduct demonstrations; prepare quotations and make presentations as deemed appropriate by the company
  • Be accountable for promoting the company sales of equipment and services through the provision of personalized and professional advice; information, and consultation to Long Term Care facilities
  • Attend workshop/education sessions to ensure product knowledge is current
  • Prepare weekly reports on sales calls and activities
  • Be accountable for all stock equipment that is on loan and for the maintenance and security of equipment used for demonstration
  • Maintain on-going communication with Sales Manager to obtain financial approval for specific types of contractual arrangements, obtain product knowledge, etc., and to request preparation of equipment for sale or demonstration
  • Open and maintain lines of communication with clients, product and solutions partners, and applicable government agencies to provide consultation and information with regard to equipment and services available
  • Perform other duties as required
Qualifications
  • Undergraduate degree in Business or Healthcare related discipline
  • Professional Sales Training is an asset
  • Preferred Sales Experience in a Hospital and Private Clinic setting
  • General knowledge of patient care and hospital departments
  • Solid understanding of wheelchairs, elevators, scooters or aids for daily living
  • Demonstrated excellence in written and verbal communication skills
  • Valid Driver’s License is a must as travel is required.
