This position will be responsible for managing a defined customer list within a geographic sales territory and arrange for distribution of both Saputo and other the products that are required by the customer. The position will cover both retail and food service sales channels and will report to the NB sales manager.JOB DUTIESMaintain current knowledge of the local market within the communityFollow an annual operating plan and budget. Review weekly revenues and costs relative to budget and to establish further ‘action plans’ where necessary.Ensure that Accounts make payments within their payment terms.Initiate and evaluate opportunities for ‘continuous improvement’ throughout the geographical market area.Maintain a high level of competitive knowledge in terms of products, pricing, discounts, promotions and sales levels.Actively manage the profitability and gross margin of sales territory and develop the necessary plans and corrective action to meet the target profitability of territory and customer base.Prospecting for new accounts in order to increase sales within given territory.QUALIFICATIONSPost-secondary education or equivalent experience in Food Service Sales.A minimum of 3 years of sales experience in the food industryExpertise in PC Software a must (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc).Self motivated with leadership qualities.Ability to work under pressure and establish priorities.Sound communication and interpersonal skills.Strong organizational and analytical skills.Dependability and proficiency in current position.Our story began in Canada in 1954, when the Saputo family's hard work and dedication created a thriving dairy business.
