Full Job DescriptionPrescare Nursing and Healthcare Staffing Inc. is seeking for an experienced, organized and motivated scheduling assistant.The personnel will answer to the office manager in performing scheduling duties, clerical and other human resource functions, to achieve the companys set goals.Professional and effective communication is required. The personnel will be involved with scheduling staff, maintain staff databases, communicate with clients, problem solving, and perform other duties as assigned by line Manager.The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, being able to multi-task and pay attention to details. We prefer someone who is looking for a full time position but we would consider applicants who are interested in part time employment as well.Website: www.prescare.caQualifications

  • College diploma (At minimum)
  • A diploma in Office Administration/ Human Resource Management is essential.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience as a scheduler in the healthcare industry.
Preferred Experience/Skills:
  • Highly skilled in Microsoft Office, and related business and communication tools.
  • Experience in a healthcare sector is preferred.
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Exposure to labor law and employment equity regulations.
  • Effective scheduling and people management skills.
  • Full understanding of HR functions and best practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines.
  • Fantastic organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to accurately follow instructions.
Job responsibilities:
  • Manage our clients daily staffing needs.
  • Prepare daily scheduling summaries, including reviewing and approving hours through the scheduling system.
  • Receive and respond to scheduling, staffing, and recruitment inquiries.
  • Managing scheduling email and phone communication.
  • Support and respond swiftly to all scheduling related inquiries or requests.
  • Maintain digital and electronic records of employees.
  • May be required to assist with the recruitment process by shortlisting candidates, phone interviews, and issuing employment contracts.
  • Oversee the completion of compensation documentation.
  • Schedule meetings, interviews, HR events and maintain agendas.
  • Provide timely feedbacks to staff and client bids
  • Other scheduling duties as delegated by the line Manager
