Job Description

Cardinal Health, with over 1300 employees in Canada, is an essential link in the Canadian healthcare supply chain, providing over 70,000 products to healthcare facilities and medical professionals across the country.We are looking for a positive and team-oriented individual to join our dynamic Quality Management team at one of the Canadian Distribution Centers.Quality Management is responsible for the development and deployment of policies, procedures and programs designed to minimize risk, enable compliant business operations, products, and services, and drive uncompromised supply chain integrity.For more information on what it is like to work for us, please watch this video: Cardinal Health - Wings.Your Contributions to the Organization will be:

  • Demonstrates knowledge of quality requirements and utilizes depth and breadth of experience to assess quality risk and business impact.
  • Responsible for the implementation and execution of the Cardinal Health Quality System for one or more international distribution facilities, as necessary.
  • Responsible for directing quality-related training programs, as needed, within assigned country or region.
  • Directs efforts to assess the implementation of Quality Management Systems (QMS) to drive performance improvement and enhance supply chain integrity while preserving and optimizing system efficiency.
  • Conduct site quality audits, as necessary.
  • Assists in developing standardized international quality programs.
  • Develop, create and maintain policies and procedures applicable to the Canadian sites.
  • Develops and maintains quality-related metrics for assigned country and/or region.
  • Works with cross-functional teams (Operations, RA, Finance, Customer Care, Supply Chain, Transportation. Commercial, etc.) to optimize quality programs and manage issue resolution.
  • Applies leadership and expertise to assess, evaluate, manage, mitigate, and balance risk and enhance business performance.
  • Provides ongoing guidance and direction to operations personnel regarding quality matters.
  • Serves as liaison with local, state and federal government agencies.
  • Experience with the FDA and Health Canada regulations is desirable.
  • Experience with local/Regional quality regulations, as necessary.
  • Oversee Inspections, Testing and Release Program in Canada for National Brand and Cardinal Brand Canada Suppliers
  • Assure that regional facilities meet the terms of the quality requirements, as necessary, within supplier quality agreements. Partner, as necessary, with internal teams to assure supplier quality agreement meet regulatory and quality requirements.
  • Support Supplier audits at regional sites.
  • Oversee NC/CAPA investigations and resolutions for events occurring at the sites.
  • Oversee rework/relabelling activities at the sites as per protocols.
  • Lead a team of quality professionals.
  • Understanding of concepts, principles, and technical capabilities to participate in a wide variety of projects.
  • Leads and participates in the development policies and procedures to achieve specific goals.
  • Recommends new practices, processes, metrics, or models.
  • Provides solutions which may set precedent.
  • Independently determines method for completion of new projects.
  • Provide leadership related to professional development for direct reports, as necessary.
  • Receives guidance on overall project objectives.
This Job might be for you if have:
  • Bachelor’s in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred.
  • 4+ years’ experience in related field, preferred.
  • Fluent in French and English, written and oral, preferred
