Together, our mission is to improve the wellbeing of Canadians.Job Title: Team Leader, Special Authorization and ClaimsDepartment: Government and Corporate SecretaryCompetition: 69821Internal/External: Internal/ExternalEmployment Type: Fulltime, PermanentLocation: Moncton, NBSalary: Competitive CompensationReports To: ManagerClosing Date: November 18, 2021Position SummaryThis position is responsible to provide guidance and direction in the day-to-day operations of the Provincial Programs Special Authorization and Claims Units ensuring corporate and departmental objectives are met and relationships with key contacts for various government contracts are maintained.Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and direction in the day-to-day operations relating to Special Authorization and Claims processing with a focus on optimizing efficiency, productivity and quality;
  • Foster and build strong employee engagement through motivation, developing the team and building relationships;
  • Participate in project and development initiatives by providing insight and guidance;
  • Ensure compliance with the Government policies and procedures, including all relevant Legislation and Regulations;
  • Conduct employee performance reviews, providing feedback and coaching, and assisting with action planning and career development;
  • Build and maintain relationships with the key contacts for various government contracts on day-to-day operations and administrative issues;
  • Monitor and manage service delivery targets;
  • Serve as back-up to the Manager and other Team Leaders as required;
  • Communicate corporate and team vision and policies to employees;
  • Liaise with internal and external partners to support resolution of issues and concerns;
  • Collaborate with our other Provincial Program teams, other Government Programs and Private Business areas to find efficiencies in delivering services;
  • Support the recruitment process as required;
  • Analyze trends and statistics and make recommendations for process improvements; a
  • Compile data and produce various management reports as needed; and
  • Other duties as assigned by the Manager.
Required Qualifications:Education: University degree with a focus in Business Administration or related fieldWork Experience: 2 to 3 years relevant work experience including leadership experienceOther Qualifications: Excellent management, planning and decision-making skills; the ability to plan and organize work efficiently; strong communication and negotiation skillsComputer Skills: Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word; basic knowledge of claims and eligibility systems would be an asset; knowledge of Medavie Blue Cross systems (POSv, PRN, CICS, ES) would be an asset.Language Skills: Fluently bilingual in both official languagesLeadership AccountabilitiesValues and Ethics:Builds and promotes a respectful work environment with employees fostering a climate of transparency, trust and respect.
