Job Description

Subsidiary: Miller Paving LimitedMacDonald Paving and Construction is part of Miller Paving Atlantic, based in New Brunswick and Nova Scotia. MacDonald Paving and Construction provides the public and private sectors with road construction, paving, road and structure rehabilitation, engineering construction, aggregate- based materials, highway operations and maintenance services.As a Truck Driver, You Will:

  • Operate and drive straight and articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
  • Operate tack trucks for paving operations
  • Loading and unloading goods
  • Complete CVOR related paperwork
  • Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes and other equipment
  • Other duties as required
What Youll Bring:
  • 2 to 3 years’ experience required
  • Minimum of valid Class 3 Driver’s Licence with Air Brake Endorsement with driver’s abstract meeting Miller expectations
  • Completion of high school/some college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to lift up to 45 kg (100 lbs.)
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Excellent problem solving skills and the ability to think critically
  • Punctual and reliable, with the ability to work overtime and weekends, if needed
