Grow with us, H2O+UYour OpportunityThe role of a Wastewater Operations and Process Design Specialist is to assist our project managers and process engineers and designers on a variety of design challenges and to provide troubleshooting, solution development and quality review. The opportunity would consist of a casual contract for as-required services, where such services would be engaged by project delivery teams. It is understood that the role would be primarily remote but may include in-person meetings and/or site visits.Your Key Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance to design teams with process piping, valving and appurtenances.
  • Assist with solution development for operational constraints and space layouts in water/wastewater pumping and treatment facilities.
  • Participate in design workshops
  • Assist with our Industrial Water design group.
  • Provide constructability, operability, maintainability and safety reviews for designs.
  • Provide quality reviews for process designs.
  • May do site visits/inspections and condition and operation assessment reviews in wastewater and industrial facilities.
  • Performs other duties of a similar nature and level as assigned.
QualificationsYour Capabilities and Credentials
  • Ability to participate and collaborate in project team setting and to engage in creative and critical thought.
  • Ability to effectively discuss project issues with clients, contractors, equipment suppliers/vendors, funding agencies and reviewing agencies; to deliver technical presentations in public forums in conferences and technical symposia.
  • Possesses excellent time-management skills; thorough understanding of task assignment and schedule, budgeting and efficient use of time and available resources.
  • Thorough understanding of local and regional jurisdictional codes, legal and design requirements in relevant jurisdictions.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
ExperienceMinimum of 20 years of experience.Typical office environment working with computers and sitting at a desk.
