Job Description

Bradken is searching for Logistics Coordinator to help its Senior Logistics Coordinator manage the operations of its biggest foundry in North America!The main tasks are:
  • Work closely with the Manufacturing team, Order Fulfilment team and the Senior Logistics Coordinator in developing and executing standardised distribution processes
  • Support the coordination of import and export processes for packing, freight forwarder bookings & shipping documentation with timely follow up on confirmations (internal to Bradken and external suppliers), including final invoicing to all of Bradken’s customers and updating destination teams, Order Fulfilment teams and manufacturing on progress
  • Support the completion of accurate import and export documentation in accordance with external authority requirements.
  • Provide timely and comprehensive information to other Freight teams, Order Fulfilment teams and Sales Teams as required
  • Seek out opportunities to rationalise freight costs across Bradken component and product movement where necessary
  • Be proactive in helping identify enhancements and changes in distribution processes and systems to ensure effectiveness and efficiency of process.
  • Uphold a strong reputation and maintain good working relationships with external and internal stakeholders.
  • Act in accordance with the Company Code of Conduct, shared values and comply with all corporate policies and procedures.
  • Complete all Basware requirements as allocated within the system in a timely manner ensuring month end processing requirements are met
  • Assist other logistics departments as required, specifically Purchasing.
Experience:
  • Proven freight delivery experience in an industrial environment
  • Freight forwarding / handling experience
  • Knowledge of freight best practices
Skills and Knowledge:
  • Understanding of Freight regulations (Raw material Imports, and exports)
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong problem solving & analytical skills
  • Commercially astute
  • Takes initiative for own actions and make decisions without referring to others
  • Reliable, follows directions & respects policies and procedures
