Senior Accountant (Consolidations)For one of our clients in the mining and metals industry, we are seeking a professional for a key role within their consolidation team. Based in Montréal, this position offers a dynamic work environment, promoting collaboration across global teams. It is a 6-month contract, with the potential to transition to a full-time role based on performance.What is in it for you:• Salaried: $75 to $78 per hour.• Incorporated Business Rate: $87 to $90 per hour.• 6-month contract.• Full-time position: 40 hours per week.• Overtime: up to 5 hours per week.• Hybrid work: 3 days per week at the office.• Opportunity to work in a dynamic and professional environment.• Join a passionate and inclusive team of professionals.Responsibilities:• Participate in the monthly consolidation of product groups.• Train and guide team members to achieve quality and timely results.• Develop and deliver training programs for internal and offshore teams.• Review consolidated financial statements to ensure compliance with IFRS and stakeholder requirements.• Prepare financial reports for senior management.• Provide Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) guidance and accounting advice to improve performance.• Ensure Risk and Control Matrix (RACM) compliance and support audits.• Drive process improvements using data analytics and digital tools.• Collaborate with teams across multiple global locations.What you will need to succeed:• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.• CPA or equivalent certification.• 8+ years of consolidation experience within a large, multi-national, multi-currency organization.• Familiarity with Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) and IFRS standards.• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines.• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and experience working in diverse, global teams.• Bilingual in English and French for effective communication with international teams and stakeholders.• Experience with SAP is considered an asset.Why Recruit ActionRecruit Action (agency permit: AP-2000003) provides recruitment services through quality support and a personalized approach to job seekers and businesses.
